I think it will be huge. I'm considering going but it's kind of late for me--I'm an early riser.

That place will be a mad house.

Follow I-66 west to Virginia Route 234 south (Bypass), exit 44;
Follow Virginia Route 234 south (bypass) to the 6th traffic light (Business 234), turn left;
Proceed approximately 1 mile to the Fair Grounds entrance on the left.

Barack Obama will hold his final campaign rally at the Prince William Fairgrounds in the Manassas area Monday night.

The event will begin at 9 p.m., with gates opening at 5 p.m. Organizers expect nearly 40,000 people to attend.

The presidential nominee is expected to talk about the economy, health care and providing tax relief for Virginia residents, campaign spokesman Bobby Whithorne said.

This is Obama’s 11th trip to the commonwealth since the end of the primary season in May.

The Illinois senator spoke to about 7,000 who packed the Nissan Pavilion in Bristow on June 5, after he became the Democratic presidential nominee.

There, he was joined by Virginia Gov. Timothy M. Kaine and Sen. James Webb as he thanked his principal rival for the Democratic nomination, Sen. Hillary Clinton, for making him a better campaigner.

Manassas Park was announced on Friday as the possible host for the Illinois senator’s campaign stop, but city officials now say they have no venue large enough for so many people.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Barack Obama says that his grandmother has died. The Democratic presidential candidate announced the news in a joint statement with his sister Maya Soetoro-Ng. He said his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, had died peacefully after a battle with cancer.

He said: "She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility. She was the person who encouraged and allowed us to take chances."

The candidate learned of her death Monday morning while he was campaigning in Jacksonville, Fla. He planned to go ahead with campaign appearances.

Late last month, Obama took a break from campaigning and flew to Hawaii to be with the 86-year-old Dunham, who helped raise him.

Was there also. they said 90K, but find that doubtful..I would say closer to 40 or 50K. I base this on the pictures I've seen of rallies in St Louis and Portland, but could be wrong.

eneded up parking at the la petite academy a mile away and hoofing it. Good call since I was home in about a half an hour..heard people were still stuck in traffic around 1am.
