why is it raining right now?(Monday afternoon) no weather forecast called for rain... did they?

I don't know, but it's cold as fuck outside.

The air temperature feels as if it's dropped at least 10 degrees from 8:00 this morning until now.

Why is someone posting a question here asking why it is raining today?

I'll give you the short answer -- clouds containing enough moisture to produce rain are passing over the area.

If your only reference to forecasts is on a smart phone or PDA and it uses the NWS downloaded weather file for this area, for some reason it hasn't been updated since last Monday. Does the forecast you see show Monday and Tuesday with highs of 67? My PocketPC does.
