It's that time of year again - WTOP's Best Of

Allrighty folks, it is that time of year again to nominate entries for the WTOP best of poll. We nearly broke the bank the first year by getting FFXU nearly named best blog. Last year we got the Meadows of Chantilly nominated as best neighborhood. The categories this year are:


Pizza

Shopping Mall

Local Charity

Food Truck

Burger

Wings

Happy Hour

Farmer's Market

Fries

Local Brewery

Now I am all for us going after a couple of categories, but I think we can all agree that we should nominate the LAMB CENTER as the best local charity. We can have fun with a few others like shopping mall, etc.

What do the rest of you say? Let's get some nominees agreed upon by day's end.

Best Pizza, "Crystal City Restaurant" (topless place, and we aint talking "no pepperoni.")
Best Burger, Union Jack's, Ballston. recently closed, people getting shot there a lot).
best Happy Hour, Bowl America, Chantilly, (If this gets through, we can brag that we have honestly done a fantastic job).
Best wings, again, Bowl America, Chantilly.

Springfield mall, TLC, Bowl America in Chantilly and Shoppers Food Warehouse is something I think we can all agree upon. Please vote for these.

7-11 and Mcdonalds are also great choices for pizza and burgers.

I sure hope Bowl America Chantilly wins for best happy hour. Make sure you put "Chantilly" in when voting, we don't want to lose on a technicality.

I guess it is about time we all got emails with special requests to vote for those establishments that we have patronized.

Anytime I get one of those types of emails I make a note NOT to vote for them.

Make sure you get your wives, significant others, girlfriends, boyfriends, and husbands to vote for the Lamb Center, 7-11, and Bowl America in Chantilly.

It is not as funny as what we did to Sunny that time, but we still get unity and amusement out of participating in this nomination process.
