Has anyone done CSA in this area?

How good is the produce from these local forms?

Thanks

We have used a CSA for the past three years and have been generally satisfied with what we receive. The cost was $450 for the season and we are still getting a nice variety of products. You always wish to have more of some things (strawberries) and less of others (kale), but in the end you get creative and learn to cook new foods. Overall, I would say that the quality is very good.

We have had plenty of squash, okra, zucchini, eggplant, radishes, tomatoes, lettuce, onions and beets with the occasional watermelon or honeydew. The farm we happen to use is organic, but I don't have a strong feeling either way.

IMO, this is the best season yet...last year was not that great.

Mike,

do you mind sharing which farm or farms you use?

You can PM me if you want.

Thanks
