Fall for Fairfax KidsFest Volunteers Needed

The 16th annual Fall for Fairfax KidsFest is right around the corner, and CFI needs YOU as a part of its volunteer team! Come join us as we welcome the autumn season with a community-wide celebration!

Festival Date: Saturday, October 4th 2008 – Rain or Shine
Time: 9:00am – 6:00pm
Location: Fairfax County Government Center Ellipse

General Information:
Northern Virginia’s largest fall family festival includes more than 100 interactive activities, exhibits and programs focusing on education, sport and fitness, the environment, public safety, and personal health. With the addition of extended hours, more attractions and new programs, this is a year you will not want to miss!

Activities Include: Inova Arcade of Health, Trackless Train Rides, Climbing Wall, Pumpkin Painting, Hayrides, Scarecrow Making, Petting Zoo, KidZone Inflatables, KidWay MidWay Rides and dozens of performances geared specifically to elementary school and toddler-aged children.

Fall for Fairfax KidsFest is FREE to attend; however, some activities do have a minimal charge to participants. Parking is available and free shuttle buses will travel to and from the Vienna Metro Station every hour.

Volunteer Information:
• Volunteer shifts are 4 hours long: 8:30am-12:30pm; 12:00pm-4:00pm; 3:30pm-7:30pm
• Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older
• Volunteers are needed to fill a variety of jobs including:
o Costumed Character
o Hayride Line Monitor
o KidZone and KidWay MidWay Line Monitor
o Kids Attractions
o Petting Zoo Line Monitor
o Scarecrow Making
o Trackless Train Ride Line Monitor
o AND SO MUCH MORE!!
