Recommend a "scam-free" safety/emission inspection location

I was planning to go to Ted Britt's at Chantilly but decided against it after reading some reviews online.

Would appreciate if folks out here could recommend a "scam-free" place, if there is one, in the Herndon/Chantilly area.

what does that mean? someone trying to make a needless upsell of services? In my experience all of the local shops (e.g., gas stations) doing safety and emissions have been fine.

I just go to the nearest gas station. Inspections are a pretty simple thing, at least if you pass them. If you have emissions problems, then I guess you might need a good shop to figure them out.

I like Centreville Goodyear on Route 29 near Stone Road. Been going there for over 10 years.

Don't go to a dealer for anything, they're the scum of the earth!

Gas stations are best. Just go while there are a couple of cars in front of you and observe the guy. If he's too thorough (like pulling the front and rear wheels) or too quick with the Rejection sticker...bail and hit another station.

You want a LAZY inspector! LOL
