Virginia Indian Festival. Saturday Sep 6th

(All ages) 10 am - 4 pm, Riverbend Visitor Center, 703-759-9018. Eight tribes from the Virginia and Washington, DC area -- including the Rappahannock dancers and drummers – will be represented at the 2008 festival.. Indian crafts, pottery and music for sale. Live demonstrations, talks by tribe members and tool-making experts and local archaeologists, plus bow and arrow shooting and spear throwing with an atlatl. Help build an authentic dug-out canoe.
