U.S. News has just posted its list of the 10 best high schools in Virginia. The list: 1. TJ, 2. Langley, 3. Madison, 4. McLean, 5. Woodson, 6. Oakton, 7. Lake Braddock, 8. (Ashburn) Briar Woods, 9. (Purcellville) Loudoun Valley, 10. West Springfield.

Congratulations to the eight -- count them, eight -- Fairfax County schools listed among the 10 best in Virginia.

If these rankings are true, which I highly doubt as George Mason HS is not on the list, it means the entire state of public education in VA is in the shitter.

the methodology used by US News is a bit of a joke. I'd look at SAT scores and college admissions stats - but then agian, I'd expect the Northern VA schools to do best due to the educated population and socioeconomic status of these neighborhoods.

Where is South County? Good school. Ought to be on that list.

I don't know where they are, but it is full of second-generation rednecks (first generation having lived in the closer suburbs of NoVa), so I doubt that there are many high-achieving students.

Oakton is mostly white, at least according to this. 40% of the student body consists of minorities. 60% is still more than 40%, last time I checked.

Research Race Realism and you won't be having these stupid racial debates.

Whites and Northeast Asians are the only two broad racial groups with averages IQs over 100. That's why a school that's 80%+ White and Asian will still do well. And that's why Asians moving into your neighborhood won't be the end of the world. The schools will still be nice, violent crime will still be low and quality of life in general will remain high. And that's why Fairfax is still a relatively nice place to live despite the White population decreasing because most of the non-White immigrants have been Asians.

Don't misunderstand me, though. I'm still a White Nationalist. Just because Whites are also largely civilized like Whites doesn't mean that I support flooding Western civilization with them. Asians should stay in Asia, spics should stay in Mexico and below, blacks should stay in Africa, a-rabs should remain in the Middle East and White colonies like America should remain White colonies (we built it).

It's when you start getting OTHER racial groups that you should get scared. Blacks are the worst. But spics aren't that much better. They'll almost always ruin a school or area immediately if there's a large concentration of them.

With the exception of TJ, they'all considered feeder schools for JMU, which is the fastest and best up-and-coming college in the state.
