It's all over now, nothing to see here. Dude had some paint ball guns it his trunk. He is now in custody.

can't make out much on the scanner, plus they move incidents off to another channel, but i've heard a few things:

"can they let the kids out of the school now"
"13yo male with eye injury"
"negotiator, please respond"
"small bladed weapon."

now i'm hearing language about a "weapons call" at Fair Oaks Mall...

A guy was holding his sister hostage. They had snipers set up but everything has been resolved and the guy is now in custody.

The police did their staging area in back of Franklin Farm shopping center. Massive amount of police presence....maybe 15 police cars along with several k-9 units and several swat teams. Called the nonemergency number and all they would tell me is that they were waiting for a person to leave their house. The did get the person of interest. Would like to know who this person is and what they did to receive such attention near my home. Any other information?

There was an older kid who was holding his sister hostage in their home on Nestlewood. He let her go and the cops took him into custody. Everything is fine. I am a teacher in a nearby school that was on lockdown because of this ass.

A local contractor has been hiring illegals and then murdering them at the end of the job to avoid paying them. FCPD got a tip that the bodies were buried on Nestlewood...

No one was kilt, thank you jesus.

I think we need A LOT of sequestration right here in ffx co. That's way way way too much "presence." Start with the FCPD and it's obnoxious helicopters!

I doubt the local news will pick it up. a) they don't want people to take hostages, just to get on the news. and b) the local news doesn't care about NoVA news unless it makes VA look like a trailer park.

He did not have anyone hostage. He was seen with a weapon in his trunk, paintball gun. He did not know the police were outside waiting for him. The police had his sister called him to come outside, and he did. end of story.

What was going around the neighborhood was that the son of the home had been fired from his job. Someone saw him with guns in his car and called police. Police followed him home and the mess commenced.

Weather they were paintball, or lethal guns I don't know.

Neighborhood, and apparently schools, were on lockdown for a couple hours.

Police were monitoring him from adjacent houses through the back windows.
Didn't know about holding area at FF Shopping center.

Situation was resolved just before early elementary busses were to depart.

LOL I was on my lunch break. Lockdown ended just before my break. It's all good guys! I swear I'm a good teacher.... hahaha
