I am 18 and a senior at Oakton, just got a ticket for going 67 in a 45 and have my court date in 2 weeks... had my license for a year now and have a pretty clean driving record just one speeding ticket and one illegal U turn both of which I went to court and did the 8 hour class. Am I gonna have to do the class again?

go to DMVNOW and pull you driving record. you should talk to a lawyer, dmv point system is diff for under 18, 18-21, over 21. do you pay for your own insurance or are you on parents policy? fuck the class it does not make it through your thick 18 year old skull. if you are not paying with your own money you are just a spoiled brat. join the military and grow the f up!

just prepay it and be done. The fine will most likely be less

do not just prepay and forget it. the dmv may bite you in the ass when you least expect. how many points do you have and in what period of time did you accumulate them. if it was reckless could be suspension of drive privs. consult a lawyer! if you call around you can find a legit free consult

If its 67mph in a 45mph zone that's 22 over and its reckless driving. Can't prepay, will have to go to cut. With your previous traffic offenses you will probably face a six month suspension of your license and a $1500 fine, You might consider hiring a lawyer, as reckless driving is considered a misdemeanor.

You are accused of wreckless driving, since it is more than 20 mph over the speed limit. You need to get a lawyer ASAP!

If the ticket is written for reckless driving, then you must appear in court. If the ticket is only for speeding, pay it and be done (yes you can be charged for speeding 20+ without getting a reckless driving charge. You have a bad driving record, two tickets in one year of driving will get you the book, when you appear before the judge for the third charge. The judge most likely would take your licence on the spot in court. I would take my chances with the DMV, the most you will get from them is driving probation and control period.

3 tickets in a year? If I was your father, you'd need a bus pass to get around.

Troll? Or just stupid? Both?

I'm not taking that bait. I hope that nobody is stupid enough to call three tickets in a year a "pretty clean driving record"

Lol
