Oh well, since I can not be banned by the owner of this website (gutless).
I will proceed with another old picture (really) from Fairfax County for your viewing pleasure.
Now, I know all the crass morons here will have a field day with this including the website owner.
I'm the ever optimistic person who wishes, that kind of reaction, will not occur. Don't hold your breath.
"Dickie House, Great Falls of the Potomac, Va., in Which Every President of the United States Dined."
Circa 1907 - 1914, a postcard with a 1 cent stamp. (Where is 50 Cent when you need him?) - I don't need him.
How many Presidents consumed food there? Who knows, but if true, George Washington was one, and other up to the late 1800's.
Tried doing some internet research, to find any data to confirm this post, but unfortunately, no luck. But the University of Maryland has this info on it's website.
Maybe the house was flooded out and destroyed by flash flooding along the Great Falls river area, along the Potomac, huge flood stages over the last 100 years.
Cheers and Amen.
